Using the on-screen bar

You can check disc information while the disc is loaded and you
can use some functions using the on-screen bar. The on-screen
bar allows you the various playback operations.

How to Access the on-screen bar

Press PLAY SETUP twice whenever a disc is loaded.
Example: During DVD VIDEO playback
Example: During Video CD playback
Contents of the on-screen bar during playback
DVD
Video CD
ADisc type
BCurrent transfer rate (Megabits per second)
CCurrent title (for DVD)
DCurrent chapter number (for DVD) or track number
(for other type of discs)
ETime information (pg.36)
FPlayback status
: appears during playback.
/ : appears during fast forward/reverse.
/ : appears during playback in forward slow-
motion/reverse slow-motion.
: appears when paused.
: appears when stopped.
GSelect this to change time information. (See 5 in the
illustration above) (pg.36)
HSelect this for Repeat Playback. (pg. 36)
ISelect this for time search function. (pg. 38)
JSelect this for chapter search function. (pg. 38)
KSelect this to change audio language or channel.

LSelect this to change subtitle language. (pg. 40)
MSelect this to change view angle. (pg. 41)
NSelect this for Programme Playback. (pg. 39)

Basic operation on the on-screen bar

Example: When selecting the Repeat mode of DVD
During playback or while stopped
AAccess the on-screen bar.
Press PLAY SETUP twice. The on-screen bar appears on
the TV screen.
The currently selected item is highlighted.
BSelect the menu item.
Press we to move H to , then press OK. The
pop-up window appears under the selected item.
The current setting appears.
CSelect the option.
Press rt to select the desired option, then press OK.
Each time you press rt, the options change.
To clear the on-screen bar
Press PLAY SETUP.
