Microphone Mixing

When playing a VCD, each press changes the audio channel

1Connect a microphone to the MIC jack.

2 Start playing a CD or VCD.

3Press FM MODE/VOCAL repeatedly to select the desired audio channel.

• See “Audio Channel Selection” below.

4Adjust the microphone mixing level and echo level.

• See “MIC volume and echo” on the right.

5 Adjust the key tone level.

• See “Key” on the right.

6Start singing or talking through the microphone.

Keep the microphone away from the speakers to prevent howling.

STEREO: same effect as the original recorded disc

VP LEFT/RIGHT: fades out the original vocal recorded on the left or right channel of a Karaoke VCD when a microphone is connected.

CH LEFT/RIGHT: source sound of the selected channel (left or right) is heard from both speakers while sound of the other channel is muted.

MIC Volume and Echo

This feature allows you to adjust the microphone mixing level and add an echo effect while singing or talking through the microphone.

Adjusting the microphone volume

 

1 Press MIC/ECHO on the remote control.

The current microphone volume level

 

appears on the display.

 

Each time you enter CD/VCD mode or open/close the disc compartment, the volume level returns to “MIC MIN” (minimum).

2 Press VOLUME + or VOLUME – to

increase or decrease the MIC volume level.

1 Press MIC/ECHO on the remote control twice. The current echo level appears on the display.

Audio Channel Selection

This feature allows you to fade out the original vocal from a Karaoke VCD. By selecting the audio left/right channel, you can also switch the language on a bilingual VCD, etc.
