Select [Available] to enable the Default Page function or [Not

Available] to disable it.

File Name

Enter the file name to be used as the default page.

HTTP Port

It is possible to enhance the security level by setting the HTTP

server port number to other than the default value “80.” (Value

range: 1 to 65535) The new HTTP port number can be ac-

cessed with a Web browser. If the port number is changed to,

for example,“12345,”it can be accessed as http://192.168.0.2:12345

or http://192.168.0.2:12345/index-e.html. If the HTTP port num-

ber is unknown, refer to [V.Networks Setup Tool].

NTP Settings

For settings of the NTP (Network Time Protocol) server.

Available/ Not available

Select [Available] to enable the NTP server function or [Not

Available] to disable it.

Server IP Address

Enter the NTP server IP address.

Timezone

Obtains the local time based on the Greenwich Mean Time.

Adjust Interval

Rectifies time deviation by acquiring the correct time from the

NTP server at a specified interval.

Note

Password Protection Function

VN-C10 is equipped with a security function for restricting browser (user) access. For this function, there are three access (security) levels according to the authorization status. The table below shows the accessible pages for each status.

(For the VN-C10 Web page structure, refer to page 62.)

Authorization Status

Accessible VN-C10 Pages

User

Still image and moving image pages

Operator

Web pages except the setting pages

Administrator

All Web pages

Caution

Password setting cannot be released or changed unless the administrator password is en- tered correctly. Do not forget the administrator password.

Password entry is not required if the user and operator passwords are set, but not the one for the administrator. The confirmation message, “Are you sure to RESET the camera to enable the changes?” appears. Pressing [OK] for this message prompts VN-C10 to activate its internal reset function, changing the IP address, etc. The previous, factory-set, IP ad- dress is no longer in effect, and connection to VN-C10 will be cut off. If there is no keystroke or mouse movement to the Web browser for a while, a message saying that connection cannot be established appears. This is due to the IP address change. (Changing the port number results in the same action.)
