To connect to audio equipment with a digital input
You can enhance the sound quality by connecting either of the unit's DIGITAL OUT jacks to the digital input of an amplifier, MD, etc. by using an optional digital cable (OPTICAL or COAXIAL). The OPTICAL jack is protected by the hinged cover. To connect the optical cable to the jack, press the cover with the plug and connect it to the jack inside in the correct direction.
