When you connect to a 5.1-channel amplifier and use the front, rear, center and sub-woofer speakers.

EXPERT

When you want to make fine tuning to match your speakers. The following five setting items are available.

NOTES

When selecting “5.1 CHANNEL” or “EXPERT”, set “DOWN MIX” to “OFF” (see page 57).

The Dolby Digital LFE (Low Frequency Effect) signal is always fed from the SUBWOOFER output on the rear panel of the unit regardless of speaker setting.

If you connect the unit's digital output to an external Dolby Digital or DTS decoder (and set the “DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT” option to “STREAM/PCM”), the speaker setting above is not effective. Make the speaker setting of the external decoder properly.
