Receiver operation In this chapter, you learn how to select both TV and radi o programmes using your
receiver, how to adjust the volume and how to programm e the timer functions.
In describing the functions, it is assumed that the rece iver has already been
properly connected up by the specialist.
Should you want to undertake the connections yourself, p lease read the section:
“Connecting up and putting into operation“ beforehand.
Switching the unit on
Press the mains switch (1) on t he front of the unit.
After a little while four horizontal bars “– – – –“ appear on the LED display
indicating that the unit is switched on. Programme s lot P001 appears.
The key on the remote c ontrol handset can be used to switch the unit
between normal operation and standby.
In standby mode a horizontal line appears in the LED disp lay “ “.
If you switch on the receiver from standby with the key, is shown on the
LED display.
On switching on with the standby key on the remote contro l, the last TV
programme slot that was selected is always tuned in.
If the receiver was switched off via the mains switch, the tim e setting is lost. On
switching on the time shows 1:00 (= Offset). After approxim ately 10 seconds the
time is updated automatically.
Switching the Navigator on
Press the key on the remote control.
On the screen, the receiver shows the Navigator‘s first page:
The name and time are displayed in the header line. The rem ote control keys that
can be used for navigation are indicated in the footer line . If an open envelope is
displayed in the bottom right-hand corner, a new software version can be loaded
from the satellite (see “Initial settings“, “Settings“, “Sof tware Update“).
