Initial Settings

You can select the following Initial Setting items.

1Select the Standby Press the [SRC] button.

Select the “STDBY”/ “STANDBY” display.

2Enter Function setting mode Press the [VOL] knob.

Turn the [VOL] knob and press it when the desired item is displayed.

“INITIAL SET”
	“Security Set”/	When Security Code is set, possibility of theft
	“SECURITY SET”	is reduced because input of Security Code is
		prompted to turn on the unit once it is turned
		off. Refer to <Activating Security Code>
		(page 46).
	“Source Select”*	Sets the source selection method.
		Select “2” to change the source selection
		method. Press the [SRC] button, turn the [VOL]
		knob to select the source, and then press the
		[VOL] knob to determine it.
		“Settings 1”/ “2”
	“Tuner Preset	Sets the Tuner preset type.
	Type”/ “PRESET	“Type Normal”/ “TYPE NORMAL”: 1 station
	TYPE”	can be assigned to 1 preset button in each
		of 4 bands (FM1, FM2, FM3, and AM), i.e.,
		a total of 24 stations (6 stations x 4 bands)
		can be preset.
		“Type Mixed”/ “TYPE MIXED”: A total of 6
		stations can be assigned to a total of 6 preset
		buttons regardless of band (FM1, FM2, FM3,
		and AM). You can recall a preset station
		without switching between bands.
	“Beep”/ “KEY	Setting the operation check sound (beep sound)
	BEEP”	ON/OFF.
		“ON”/ “OFF”
	“Russian”/	When this is set to ON, the following character
	“RUSSIAN SET”	strings are displayed in Russian:
		Folder name/ File name/ Song title/ Artist
		name/ Album name/ KCA-BT200 (optional
		accessory)
		“ON”/ “OFF”
	“Menu	You can select the display language for the
	Language”*	Function setting item.
		“English”/ “Français”/ ”Español”/ “Deutsch”/
		“Italiano”/ “Pyccкий”

“Power OFF Wait”/	Setting the timer to turn this unit’s power OFF
“P-OFF WAIT”	automatically when Standby mode continues.
	Using this setting can save the vehicle’s battery
	power.
	“OFF”: Power OFF Timer function is OFF.
	“20MIN/M”/ “40MIN/M”/ “60MIN/M”: Turns
	the power OFF after minutes.
“Built in AUX”/	When this is set to ON, AUX source can be
“BUILT-IN AUX”	selected.
	“ON”: Allows AUX source to be selected. Use
	this setting when the built-in AUX terminal
	is connected to the external equipment all
	the time.
	“OFF”: Disable AUX source selection. Use this
	setting when the built-in AUX terminal is
	not used.
“Forced CD-DA”/	Sets the CD read mode.
“CD READ”	“Settings 1”/”1”: Automatically distinguishes
	between Audio file disc and music CD when
	playing disc.
	“Settings 2”/”2”: Forces playing as music CD.
“Built in AMP”*	Selecting “OFF” turns off the built-in amplifier.
	Turning off the built-in amplifier improves the
	quality of the sound from Preout.
	“ON”/ “OFF”
“Switchable	Switches the preout between rear output and
Preout”/ “SWITCH	subwoofer output.
PREOUT”	“Rear”/ “REAR”: Rear output
	“SubWoofer”/ “SUB-W”: Subwoofer output
“SP SELECT”**	Fine-tuning so that the System Q value is
	optimal when setting the speaker type as
	follows;
	“SP OFF”: Off
	“SP 5/4”: For 5 & 4 in. speaker
	“SP 6* 9/6”: For 6 & 6x9 in. speaker
	“SP OEM”: For the OEM speaker
“System F/W	Upgrades the firmware.
Update”/ “F/W	Selecting “YES” and then pressing [VOL] knob
UP”	starts upgrading the firmware.

5Make a setting

Turn the [VOL] knob to select a setting value, and then press the [VOL] knob.

6Exit Function setting mode

Press the [   ] button for at least 1 second.
