A region code defined for each country or area is assigned for each DVD VIDEO player, so it cannot play a DVD VIDEO disc if its region code do not match that of this unit. Also, a disc which does not contain any region code may sometimes be unable to be played on the player.
When purchasing a DVD VIDEO disc, make sure that it has a region code which can be played on your player.
