When the menu has a hierarchical structure

When items are selected on the menu display during playback of a VIDEO CD (with PBC), another menu with more detailed choices may be displayed. A number of menus may be connected in this way in steps, and this is called a hierarchical structure. The desired scene can be reached by repeated item selection on the menu display.
