Symptom Remedy/Cause
“TOC ERROR” appears. The CD is quite dirty. / The CD is upside-dow n. / The CD is scratched a lo t. Try another
disc instead.
“ERROR 99” appears. The unit i s malfunctionin g for some reason. Pre ss the reset but ton on the unit. If the
“ERROR 99” code does not disappear, consult you r nearest servi ce center.
“COPY PRO” appears. A copy-protected file is played.
“READ ERROR” appears. Copy the files and folders for the USB device ag ain. If the error mess age is still
displayed, initialize the USB device or use other USB de vices.
“NO DEVICE” appears. No USB device is connected. Connect a USB device, and chang e the source to USB
again.
“NO MUSIC” appears. The connected USB device contains no p layable audio file.
“NA DEVICE” appears. Connect a supported USB device, and check the conn ections.
“iPod ERROR” appears. Re connect the iPod. / Co nfirm that the sof tware for the iPo d is the latest versio n. /
Reset the iPod.
“iPod FULL” appears. The iPod memory is f ull.
Noise is generated. Skip to another track or change the disc.
Tracks cannot play back as you have intended
them to play.
Playback order is determined when files are r ecorded.
“READING” keeps flashing. Longer readout time is required. Do not use too m any hierarchies and fo lders.
Elapsed playing time is not correct. This is caused by how the tracks are record ed.
The number of songs contained in “SONGS”
category of this unit is different f rom that
contained in “SONGS” category of iPod.
Podcast files are not counted in this unit as t his unit does not suppo rt the playback of
podcast files.
Correct characters are not displayed (e.g.
album name).
This unit can only display letters (upper case), numb ers, and a limited number o f
symbols.
Pandora

“PANDORA ERR 5” appears. Thumb up/down operation has failed.
“NO SKIPS” appears. The skip count limit has been exceeded.
“CHECK DEVICE” appears. Check the Pandora® application on the iPhone/iPod touch.
Bluetooth

The hands-free talk volume is low. The hands-free talk volume can b e adjusted indepe ndently. Adjust it during h ands-
free talk. [MIC GAIN], [NR LEVEL] and [ EC LEVE L] of <Bluetooth Setu p> (page
23).
No beep is heard at reception of an incoming
call.
No beep is heard depending on the type of your ce ll-phone. The [CALL BEEP] of
<Bluetooth Setup> (page 23) is set ON.
