Presetting the Program Type

1Select the Program Type to preset Refer to <PTY (Program Type)> (page 29).

2Enter Program Type Preset mode Press the [SEARCH MODE] button.

3Select the number to put in the memory

Turn the [Volume] knob and press it for at least 2 seconds when the desired item is displayed. Select the preset number.

Recalling the preset Program Type

1 Enter PTY mode

Refer to <PTY (Program Type)> (page 29).

•Speech and Music include the Program type shown below.

Speech: Items in the white letters.

Music: Items in the black letters.

1Enter Menu List mode Press the [MENU] button.

2Select the FM band

Turn the [Volume] knob and press it when the desired item is displayed.

Select “FM”.

3Enter Menu List mode Press the [MENU] button.

4Enter PTY mode

Turn the [Volume] knob and press it when the desired item is displayed.

Select “PTY Search”.5Select the Program Type Turn the [Volume] knob.6Search for the selected Program Type station Press the [4] or [¢] button.7Exit PTY mode

Press the [MENU] button for at least 1 second, and then press it again briefly.

•This function cannot be used during a traffic bulletin or AM reception.

•When the selected Program Type is not found, “No PTY” is displayed. Select another Program Type.

•The operation ends automatically if you do not operate within 30 seconds.
