About PANDORA® internet radio

The requirements for listening to PANDORA® internet radio are as follows:

Use an Apple iPhone or iPod touch running under iOS3 or later.

Install the latest version of the PANDORA® application on your iPhone. (Search for “PANDORA” in the Apple iTunes App Store to find and install the most current version.)

Create an account with PANDORA®. (If you are not already a registered user, an account can be established at www.pandora.com.)

Internet connection by 3G, EDGE, or WiFi.

iPhone/ iPod connected to this unit with a KCA- IP202.

The Pandora service is available only in the U.S.

Because PANDORA® internet radio is a third-party service, the specifications are subject to change without prior notice. Accordingly, compatibility may be impaired or some or all of the services may become unavailable.

Some PANDORA® functionality cannot be operated from this unit.

About USB device

When the USB device is connected to this unit, it will be charged from the unit when the unit is turned on.

Install the USB device in the place where it will not prevent you from driving your vehicle properly.

Take backups of the audio files used with this unit. The files can be erased depending on the operating conditions of the USB device.

We shall have no compensation for any damage arising out of erasure of the stored data.

No USB device comes with this unit. You need to purchase a commercially available USB device.

This unit cannot recognize a USB device whose rating is other than 5 V and exceeds 500 mA.

When connecting the USB device, usage of the CA-U1EX (option) is recommended. The maximum current consumption of the CA-U1EX is 500 mA.

Normal playback is not guaranteed when a cable other than the USB compatible cable is used. Connecting a cable whose total length is longer than 4 m can result in abnormal playback.

About USB hub

You can use the USB hub with up to 3 ports. The USB hub with 4 and more ports can also be used, but available ports are up to 3 of them.

Do not connect more than 2 USB hubs to this unit. This unit cannot recognize the USB hubs if more than 2 USB hubs are connected.

Only one iPod can be connected to a USB hub.

The iPod connected to the USB hub charged.

Connect the Multi Card Reader directly to this unit. if connected to an USB hub, proper operation of the unit is not guaranteed.

Playback cannot be resumed if more than one USB devices of the same model are connected to the USB hub.

About “KENWOOD Music Editor”

This unit supports the PC application “KENWOOD Music Editor Light ver1.1” or later.

When you use the audio file with database information added by the “KENWOOD Music Editor Light ver1.1”, you can search a file by title, album or artist name using the <File Search> (page 17).

In the Instruction manual, the term “Music Editor media” is used to mean the device that contains audio files with database information added with KENWOOD Music Editor.
