Troubleshooting
Memory card is almost
or entirely full
Transfer the pictures to the computer (see page46).
Delete pictures from the card (see page29) or insert a new card.
The Reset Camera
feature did not take
effect.
After using the Reset Camera feature (see page45), turn the
camera off and then on again.
Battery life is short Make sure the correct battery type is installed (see page60).
Charge the batteries (see page1).
Use a power-saving LCD Brightness setting (see page43).
Shutter button does
not work.
Turn o n th e ca mera (see page 3).
Transfer pictures to the computer (see page46), delete pictures
from the camera (see page29), switch image storage locations
(see page45), or insert a card with available memory (see
page6).
Memory card not
recognized or camera
freezes with card
Card may be corrupted. Format the card in the camera (see
page45).
Caution: Formatting a card deletes all pictures and
videos, including protected files.
Use another memory card. Only SD or SDHC Cards are supported.
Pictures on card (or in
internal memory) are
corrupted
Retake pictures.
Do not remove card while the camera is on.
Keep rechargeable batteries charged.
Transfer pictures to the computer (see page46), then format the
card or internal memory (see page45).
