Troubleshooting
Memory card is almost
or entirely full
■Transfer the pictures to the computer (see page46).
■Delete pictures from the card (see page29) or insert a new card.
The Reset Camera
feature did not take
effect.
■After using the Reset Camera feature (see page45), turn the
camera off and then on again.
Battery life is short ■Make sure the correct battery type is installed (see page60).
■Charge the batteries (see page1).
■Use a power-saving LCD Brightness setting (see page43).
Shutter button does
not work.
■Turn o n th e ca mera (see page 3).
■Transfer pictures to the computer (see page46), delete pictures
from the camera (see page29), switch image storage locations
(see page45), or insert a card with available memory (see
page6).
Memory card not
recognized or camera
freezes with card
■Card may be corrupted. Format the card in the camera (see
page45).
Caution: Formatting a card deletes all pictures and
videos, including protected files.
■Use another memory card. Only SD or SDHC Cards are supported.
Pictures on card (or in
internal memory) are
corrupted
■Retake pictures.
■Do not remove card while the camera is on.
■Keep rechargeable batteries charged.
■Transfer pictures to the computer (see page46), then format the
card or internal memory (see page45).

videos, including protected files.

desired picture/video
