Ni-MH batteries are designed for high-demand devices, such as digital
cameras, and do not exhibit the memory effe cts seen with othe r
rechargeable technologies.
mBattery performance is reduced at temperatures below 41° F (5° C).
Carry spare batter ies when using y our camera in cold weather, and keep
them warm until you a re ready to take pi ctures. Do not disc ard cold
batteries that do not work. Once they are warmed, they may beusable.
Tips, Safety, Mai ntenance
mAlways follow basic safety precaution s. Refer to the Impor tant Safety
Instructions booklet packed with your camera.
mDo not allow any chemicals, such as suntan lotion, to come into contact
with the painted surf ace of the camera.
mIf the camera has been subjec ted to inclement weather or yo u suspect
water has gotten ins ide the camera, turn off the camera and r emove the
battery and MMC/SD c ard. Allow all com ponents to air-dry for at le ast 24
hours before using the camera again.
mClean the lens and back LCD:
1 Blow gently on the lens o r LCD to remove du st and dirt.
2 Moi sten the lens or LC D by breathing ligh tly on it.
3 Wipe the lens or LCD gently with a soft, lint-free cloth or an untreated
lens-cleaning tissue.
Do not use cleaning so lutions unless they are designed spe cifically for
camera lenses. Do not w ipe the camera lens or LCD w ith chemically
treated eyeglass l ens tissue. It may scratch the lens.
