3. Setting Up: Connecting to TV & Network
This chapter explains how to connect your LaCinema HD Connect to
your television and network. If you would also like to connect a USB
hard drive in order to play its files on the TV, see section 4. Setting
Up: Connecting USB Hard Drive.

Composite Cables

The LaCinema HD Connect supports different ways of connecting
to televisions. From the following methods, choose the setup that
matches the ports on your television or receiver:
HDMI (section 3.1.1. HDMI (High-Definition) Connection)
Composite (section 3.1.2. Composite Video & Stereo Audio
Connection)
In each of the above connection methods, it is possible to connect
the LaCinema HD Connect to home theater systems by plugging the
S/PDIF cable (not included) to your digital amplifier via the digital
optical audio connector (see section 3.1.3. Optical Audio (S/PDIF)
Connection for details. The chart at right illustrates the qualities
made possible by the different connection methods.
