In Mac OS X version 10.4 and earlier
aFrom the menu bar, click Apple menu System Preferences.
bClick Network.
cFrom the Show pop-up menu, select Airport.

2Type your user name and password when prompted.
3Click OK.
4On the main page, click Wireless or another selection where setting s are stored. The SSID will be displayed.
5Write down the SS ID, security type and the WEP key/WP A passphrase (if s hown).
Notes:
Make sure you copy the network information down exactly, including any capital letters.
Store the SSID and th e WEP key or WPA passph rase in a safe place fo r future reference.
CHECK YOUR WEP KEY OR WPA PASSPHRASE
If your wireless access point is using Wireless Equivalent Privacy (WEP) security, the WEP key should be:
Exactly 10 or 26 hexadecimal characters. Hexadecimal characters are A-F, a-f, and 0-9.
or
Exactly 5 or 13 ASCII characters . ASCII characters are letters, number s, and symbols found on a keyboar d. ASCII
characters in a WEP key ar e case-sensitive.
If your wireless access point is using Wi-Fi P rotected Access (WPA ) security the WPA pa ssphrase should be:
From 8 to 63 ASCII characters. ASCII characters in a WPA passphrase are case-sensitive.

Exactly 64 hexadecimal chara cters. Hexadecimal character s are A-F, a-f, and 0-9.
Note: If you do not know this information, see the documentation that came with the wireless network, or contact
the person who set up your wireless network.
DISCONNECT FROM VPN SESSION
When you are connected to another network through a VPN connection, you will not be able to access the printer
over your wireless network. E nd your VPN session and try printing again.
