5INTERNAL SETTINGS

5.1 OPTIONAL SETTINGS

Use the Optional Settings feature to change default settings, or to enab le or disable certain programs or displays on

the Lifecycle Exercise Bike console.

ENTERING AND USING THE OPTIONAL SETTINGS FEATURE

To enter the Optional Settings, hold down the UP ARROW key, and sim ply start pedaling on the C9i; or start

pedaling, and press START on the C7i. After the console display lights up, press the ENTER key until the

MESSAGE CENTER displays MANAGER’S SETTINGS. Use the ENTER key to s croll forward through each

displayed setting, and use the CLEAR key to scroll backward. To change a displayed setting, press the UP or

DOWN arrow key until the MESSAGE CENTER displays the desired setti ng, and then press ENTER. To exit

Optional Settings, press the CLEAR key repeatedly until the MESSAGE CE NTER displays SELECT WORKOUT

USING ARROW KEYS OR PRESS QUICK START.

Description

This is the maximum possible duration in minutes for a workout. T he

value can range from 1 to 99.

This option determines the units of weight measurement used by work out

programs.

If this option is enabled, the MESSAGE CENTER displays the Watts

equivalent of the pedaling rate.

If this option is enabled, the MESSAGE CENTER displays the METs

equivalent of the pedaling rate.

If this option is enabled, the Watts program becomes an available

workout.

If this option is enabled, the METs program becomes an available

workout.

If this option is enabled, the MESSAGE CENTER displays the number of

calories burned per hour during the workout.

This option displays complete usage statistics on the Lifecycle Ex ercise

Bike, such as total hours and the total number of times each workout is

selected. Use the ARROW keys to scroll through each statistic.

This feature lights up the console display with “dummy” values to depict

how the display looks.
