Media icons
This unit can play back various kinds of media including video, audio, and photos. In this owner’s manual, corresponding media icons are indicated next to titles for each operation description. The following table shows what content can be played back for each media.
Video :Turn on the power
Before using a remote control, insert the batteries (vpage 51 “Inserting the batteries”).
1 Press ON/STANDBY X to turn on power to the unit.The STANDBY indicator flashes and the power turns on.
Then the STANDBY indicator is turned off.
• “LOADING” appears on the display, and disc information is read.
2 Turn on the power of the TV and AV receiver.•The “NO DISC” message is displayed if a disc is not loaded.
3 Set the TV and AV receiver source to the unit input.When power is switched to standby
Press ON/STANDBY X.•The STANDBY indicator flashes. Then the indicator lights in red and the power is turned off.

•Energy Saving Standby : Red
•Normal Standby : Orange
•Quick Start : Orange
When “Auto Standby” is “On” (vpage 39), the following states are maintained for about 30 minutes, and then the power is automatically turned to standby.

•Playback has stopped
•Stopped due to resume function
NOTE
During power standby, a slight amount of power is consumed. To totally cut off the power, remove the power cord from the power outlet.
