Audio Settings

Settings for audio output are made.

Audio Output	Default settings are underlined.
Set the audio output.
Setting items	Setting details
Coaxial	Bitstream : For selecting when the device connected to the unit supports
Selects the audio format	Dolby Digital or DTS Digital Surround.
output from the digital audio	PCM : For selecting when a device connected to the unit does not support
out connector.	Dolby Digital or DTS Digital Surround.
	Off : For outputting no audio signals from the digital audio out connector
	of the unit.
	For converting audio signals, see “About digital signal audio output”
	(vpage 59).
HDMI	Bitstream : For selecting when the device connected to the unit supports
Sets the audio format output	Dolby TrueHD/Dolby Digital Plus/Dolby Digital or DTS-HD/DTS Digital
from the HDMI output	Surround. The output format is automatically selected according to the
connector.	audio format or the number of channels supported by the connected
	HDMI device.
	PCM : For selecting when a device connected to the unit does not support
	Dolby TrueHD/Dolby Digital Plus/Dolby Digital or DTS-HD/DTS Digital
	Surround.
	Off : For outputting no audio signal from the HDMI output terminal of the
	unit.

	NOTE
	If “BD Audio mode” is set to “HD Audio Output”
	with OPTION on the remote control, BD secondary
	audio and interactive audio are not output.
Down Sampling	48kHz/96kHz/192kHz
Selects the sampling rate	NOTE

	• The audio signal of content protected by copyright protection is

	• If the device connected to the unit does not support a 96kHz/192kHz
	sampling rate, a lot of noise will be generated from the connected device
	if this unit is set to 96kHz/192kHz.
Dynamic Range	Off : Dynamic range is not compressed.
Compression	On : Dynamic range is compressed.
Compresses the dynamic	Auto : Dynamic range of Dolby TrueHD audio is automatically compressed
range of Dolby TrueHD/	according to the material. Audio of Dolby TrueHD only is compressed.
Dolby Digital Plus/Dolby

Digital Audio.	This setting compensates high volume to low and low volume to high
	when high volume is not desired at night.

Setting items	Setting details
BALANCED Polarity	Normal：Normal polarity.
Sets the output polarity	Reverse：Reversed polarity.
from the BALANCED OUT	The initial setting of the pin arrangement for the BALANCED OUT
connectors.
