The procedure to execute this utility is as follows:

1.During POST, press the Esc key.

At the end of POST, a menu box called Boot Menu will appear. Displayed in this menu box is a list of devices from which the operating system can be booted.

2.Using the Up and Down keys, select the device from which the operating system is to be booted.

You cannot expand and collapse device types as is done in the Boot menu of the Setup utility. If you select a device type that has more than one device associated with it, the utility will select the first device of this type in the boot-device sequence. To boot from another device of this type, you must access the Boot menu of the Setup utility, and change its positioning. To enter the Setup utility, you can select the Enter Setup option.

3.When the device is selected, press Enter.

This will override the existing boot sequence (as specified in the BIOS Setup utility) for this boot only, and the operating system will be booted using the device you selected.

If the specified device cannot load the operating system, the BIOS will revert to the boot sequence specified in the BIOS Setup utility.

4.To exit the boot-device selector utility and continue with the existing boot sequence, press Esc.
