CLEANING:

PIZZA MAKER INSTR. 27/09/04 12:12 Side 14

9.DO NOT TOUCH PIZZA MAKER OR STONE AS BOTH ARE VERY HOT. Unplug Pizza Maker and allow to cool completely. Supervision and care must always be exercised where children are in attendance or are utilizing this pro- duct.

CLEANING:

DO NOT CLEAN PIZZA MAKER OR THE STONE UNTIL THE UNIT HAS COOLED COMPLETELY.

1.Carefully and lightly scrape off any food particles on the stone with a metal spatula or grill scraper. Be careful not to scratch or chip the stone´s surface.

2.Scrub the surface of the stone with a dry wire brush. DO NOT USE ABRASIVE TOOLS OR CLEANERS OF ANY KIND. DO NOT USE WATER OR SOAP.

3.Wipe stone with a dry cloth or paper towel.

4.To clean exterior, wipe with a damp cloth.

5.NEVER IMMERSE PIZZA MAKER IN WATER as this may damage electrical parts and/or cause the stone to crack, seriously reducing the stone´s baking quilities.

IMPORTANT:

1.As you use your pizza maker more and more, the stone will gradually darken and develop “cooking spots”. It may eventually become almost black in colour. This process is normal and will enhance the cooking performance of your pizza maker. Until the stone becomes fully seasoned, you may find that the crust of your pizza is not as cooked or as crispy as you may like. As the stone becomes seasoned, the crust will be darker and crisper. Be sure to clean the stone after each use for long–lasting performance.

2.While cooking, it is common for melted cheese to drip out around the edge of the oven. To reduce this, turn edges of homemade pizza rounds up and avoid placing cheese close to the edge.

3.Approximately mid–way through cooking time open lid and rotate pizza half way using pizza paddles. This will ensure even cooking around entire pizza.

4.Sprinkle flour on pizza paddles to prevent dough from sticking.
