This circuit prevents accidental battery discharging.

To save power, the charging circuit for the flash capacitor is switched off some 1-2 minutes after the flashgun was switched on or after a flash was trigge- red. The green operating light goes out, but the mecablitz remains ready for operation as long as the orange flash-ready light is on (approx. 5-10 min).
