countsdownto"0:00",PROGRAMindicatorsflash,andthe"SELECT
PROGRAM"promptappearsonthedisplay.PressQUICKSTARTto
immediatelystartexercising,orpressSTARTtotakeadvantageofuser
information.
Thedurationofyourexercisesessionshoulddependonyourfitnesslevel.In
general,itisrecommendedthatyoumaintainyourheartrateinthetraining
zoneforatleasttenminutestorealizeanaerobicbenefit.Asyourfitnesslevel
increases,youwillbeabletomaintainyourheartrateinthetrainingzonefor
longerperiods,usuallybetween20and30minutes.
Whenstartingyourworkout,usethefirstseveralminutestowarmup,then
slowlyincreaseyourworkloadtobringyourheartrateintoyourspecific
trainingzone.Attheendofyourworkout,graduallydecreaseyourworkload
andexerciselightlyto"cooldown".
