NOTE

If the "V"-idler or flat idler pulleys are removed for any reason, be sure to install with hub side against the idler bracket. See figure 27.

DO NOT DRAIN FUEL WHILESMOKING, OR IF NEAR AN OPENFIRE.

Drain all the oil from the crankcase (this should be done after the engine has been operated and is still warm) and refill the crankcase with clean new oil as instructed in the engine manual.

3.Protect the inside of the engine for storage as instructed in the separate engine manual packed with your unit.

4.Clean the exterior of engine and the entire tiller thoroughly.

5.Wipe tines with oiled rag to prevent rust.

If the tiller is to be inoperative for a period longer than 30 days, the following precautions are recom-

mended. Keep your tiller in a weatherproof, dry area. If stored for over 30 days the following steps will protect the essential engine parts from gum

deposits.

1.Working outdoors, drain all fuel from the fuel tank. Use a clean, dry cloth to absorb the small amount of fuel remaining in the tank, then run the engine until all fuel in carburetor is exhausted.

When storing any type of power

equipment in an unventilated or metal storage shed, care should be taken to rustproof the equipment.

Using a light oil or silicone, coat the

equipment, especially any springs, bearings and cables.
