Connecting a TV, VCR, DVD, and A/V Receiver or AmplifierThis cable configuration may be used for a mono or stereo TV, because
the TV audio and video jacks are not used.
When using a mono VCR with this setup, a stereo audio cable with a
Y-cable adapter is needed to connect the mono VCR to the A/V receiver
or amplifier.
Please refer to the Audio and Video Options on the following page for
more information on this cable configuration.
1Connect an RF coaxial cable to the cable wall outlet and the
CABLE IN connector on the DCT5100.
2Connect a stereo audio cable to the AUDIO OUT R and Lconnectors
on the DCT5100 and the VIDEO 1AUDIO R and Lconnectors on the
A/V receiver or amplifier.
3Connect a video cable to the VIDEO OUT connector on the DCT5100
and the VIDEO 1video connector on the A/V receiver or amplifier.
4Connect a stereo audio cable to the DVD AUDIO R and Lconnectors
on the A/V receiver or amplifier and the AUDIO OUT ANALOG R and L
connectors on the DVD.
5Connect a video cable to the DVD VIDEO connector on the
A/V receiver or amplifier and the VIDEO OUT VIDEO c onnector on the
DVD.
6Connect a stereo audio cable to the VCRINAUDIORand L
connectors on the A/V receiver or amplifier and the OUTPUT AUDIO R
and Lconnectors on the VCR.
7Connect a video cable to the VCRINVIDEOconnectoron the A/V
receiver or amplifier and the OUTPUT VIDEO connector on the VCR.
8Connect a stereo audio cable to the VCR OUT AUDIO R and L
connectors on the A/V receiver or amplifier and the INPUT AUDIO R
and Lconnectors on the VCR.
9Connect a video cable to the VCR OUT VIDEOconnector on the A/V
receiver or amplifier and the INPUT VIDEO c onnector on the VCR.
10 Connect a video cable to the TV/MONITOR OUTPUT connector on the
A/V receiver or amplifier and the INPUT VIDEO connector on the TV.
