11 Groundor polarization
Thisequipm ent may be equipped with a polarized alternating-c urrent line plug (a plug having one
bladewider than th e other). This plug will fit into the power o utlet only one way. This is a safety
feature.If you ar e unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, tr y reversing the plug. If the plug
shouldsti ll fail to fit, contact your electrician to replac e your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the
safetypurpose of the polarized plug.
12 Alternatewarnings
Thisequipm ent may be equipped with a 3-wire grounding-t ype plug, a plug having a third
(grounding)pi n. This pin will only fit into a grounding-t ypepow er outlet. This is a safety feature. If
youare unable to i nsert the plug into the outlet, contact your el ectrician to replace your obsolete
outlet.Do not defe at the safety purpose of the grounding-t ype plug.
