Reading from the Message Center
1From the main menu, select Messages > Text Msgs.
2Select the message you want to read.
3If the message fills more than one screen, scroll to read it.
4To keep the message, press O.

Net alerts are notifications that you have a text and numeric messages sent from:

When you receive a Net alert, a notification appears on the display.
If you dismiss the notification, this icon Tappears on the display, reminding you that you have a new message.
When you delete a Net alert, the message is not deleted, but it is no longer accessible through the message center. You can still access the message through Nextel Online services.
