Profiles

Profiles
A profile is a group of settings saved together so that
you can apply them to your phone easily.
A profile contains these settings:
Ring Tones — sets all options descri bed in “Ring
Tones” on page 58, except assi gning ring tones to
Contacts.
• Display/Info — sets Wallpaper, Color Pa lette,
Text S ize, and Backli ght options. See
“Display/Info Feat ures” on page 130.
Phone Calls — sets Set Line and Auto Ans
options. See “Phone Call s Features” on page
131.
• Volume — sets all options described in “Volume
Features” on page 1 32.
Call Filter — controls wh ich calls, call alerts, an d
message notificat ions your phone res ponds to.
See “Setting Call F iltering” on page 12 7.
• Advanced — sets headset option. See “Using a
Headset” on page 13 7.
Your phone arrive s with pre-set profi les. You can
also create your own profiles.

Viewing Profiles

To view the profile s stored in your ph one:
1From the main menu, s elect Profiles.
2Select the profile you want to view.
Tip:The profile that is currently in effect on your
phone has a checkmark next to it.
3Press A under View.
4Scroll and select setting s to view their values.

Switching Profiles

To apply a profile t o your phone:
1From the main menu, s elect Profiles.
2Scroll to the profile you want to apply.
3Press O.
The profile you selected is now in effect.

How Changing Settings Affects

Profiles

Many of the settings con tained in profiles can be se t
without switching or editing profiles — for example,
by selecting Settings or Ring Tones to set options,
or by setting the volume of the phone’s ring using
the volume controls.
