Customizing Your Phone
•Clock — controls whether the tim e an d da t e
appear on the idle screen; set s tim e and date
format; sets year.
• Menu View — controls whether the items on
your main menu an d Java application s menu
appear as large icons or a list.
• Large Dialing — sets large digits to appear on
the idle screen when you ent er a nu mb er.
• Language — sets the lang uage that your phon e
displays.
Phone Calls Fe atures
The Phone Calls m enu controls how yo ur phone
handles phone calls:
•Set Line — sets phone line 1 or phone line 2 as
the active line for outgoing calls.
• Any Key Ans — If this feature is o n, you can
answer calls by pres sing any key on the k eypad.
• Auto Redial — sets you r phone to automatica lly
redial calls you m ake when the syst em is busy.
• Call Waiting — See “Call Wait ing” on page 50.
•Auto Ans — sets your phone to auto m a tic al ly
answer an incoming call after a speci fied
number of rings. When this feature is on, the
phone answers by c onnecting you to th e caller;
it does not send the call to voice mail, unless
you are out of cov erage or on the line .
• Flip Activation — See “Setting Flip Actions” on
page 54.
• Minute Beep — causes a bee p to sound every
minute of an active call .
•Call Duration — causes the dur ation of a call to
appear on the disp lay when the call e nds.
•TTY — See “Making TTY Calls” on page 56.
• Notifications — See “Messa ge Notifications” on
page 73.
2-Way Radio Features
The 2-Way Radio menu controls how your phone
handles Private calls, group calls, and SDG calls:
• Tkgrp Silent — controls whether you hear
group calls to your T a lk grou p. S ee “ Gr o up C al ls ”
on page 59.
•Tkgrp Area — lets you define your Talkgroup
area.
• One Touch PT T — See “Setting Flip Actions” on
page 54.
• Alert Type — controls how your phone notifies
you when you receive Priv ate calls, group calls,
and SDG calls.
• PTT Picture— sets your phone’s ability to send
and receive picture s in Private calls. Se e “Using
