Temporary Profiles
When you do this, your phone either:
•Updates the profile in effe ct to reflect these
changes, without not ifying you -or-
•Creates a temporary pro fil e t ha t co nta ins these
changes
Note:This feature may not be offered by your
service provider.
To set your phone to crea te a temporary profile
that contains changes you make to settings:
1From the main menu, sele ct Profiles.
2Press m.
3Select Setup > Temp Profile.
4Set this option to On.
To set your phone to update the profile in effect to
reflect any changes you make to settings:
Set Temp Profile to Off in step 4.
If your service provider does not offer the Temp
Profile option, your phone always updates the
profile in effect to refle ct the changes you make to
settings.
Temporary Profiles
If your phone is set to create temporary profiles, a
temporary profil e is created when y ou make
changes to settings without switchin g or ed iti ng
profiles.
A temporary profil e is based on the profi le in effect
when you made the change s, but reflects the
changed settings. Making more changes further
updates the temporar y profile, for as long as it is in
effect.
A temporary profile stay s in effect until you sw itch
profiles, power off your ph on e, or de le t e it (or the
profile it is based on) from the list of profiles.
If you do not store a temporary profile, it is delete d
when you switch pr ofiles, switch bet ween
MOTOtalk and network mode , or power off your
phone.
A temporary profile is autom atical ly give n the same
name as the profile it is based on, but with an
asterisk (*) in front of it.
When you view a temporary profile’s settings, the
options that diffe r from the profile it i s based on
have an asterisk in front of them.
