Making Calls
Choosing a Number to Call
You can choose the number yo u want to call in
many ways:
Enter the number on the keypad. See “Entering
Numbers From the K eypad” on page 12.
Say a voice name into your p hone. S ee “Usi ng a
Voice N ame” .
Use Speed Dial or Turbo Dial® to make a phone
call. See “Using Sp ee d Dia l a nd T ur bo Dial ®” on

Redial the last phone number called. See

Select the number from the recent cal ls list. See

Select a number stored in Datebook. See

Using a Voice Name

If you have created a voice name in Contacts for
the number you want to call, say the voice name
into your phone to enter the number. See page 40
for information on voi ce names.
You can use a voice name to enter a number with
the flip open or closed.
1Press and hold t until a promp t appe ars tel lin g
you to say the vo ice name.
2Speaking into the mic rophone, say the v oice
name assigned to t he number you wan t to call.
Your phone plays the name back to you.
3If you are making a phone call, the call i s placed
automatically.
Tip:To stop a phon e ca ll from being completed,
press . if the flip is closed or press e.
If you are making a Private call or a SD G call,
press and hold the PTT butto n to pl ace the call.
