Making Calls From Contacts

While Viewing the Contacts List

1Access Contacts.
2Scroll to the name or number you wan t to call.
Tip:To find Contacts entries faster, use the
keypad to enter the first letter of the name.
3To place the call now, go to step 4. -or-
Scroll left or right to display the Co ntacts type for
the number you wan t to call.
4To make a phone call, pres s s. -or-
To make a Private c all, press the PTT b utton.
If you are making a P rivate call, your phon e places
the call to the Private ID stored in the Contacts
entry, even if the Priv ate icon is not displayed.
If you are making a phone call:
Your phone places th e call to the phone number
assigned to the Contacts type displayed.
If the Contacts type displayed is not a phone
number, your phone places the call to the phone
number stored in the Contacts entry.
If the Contacts type displayed is not a phone
number and you have more than one phone
number stored in the Conta cts entry, your phone
prompts you to select the phone number you
want to place the call to.

Accessing Contacts with GSM Phones
If you plan to use the information stored in
Contacts with an i2000, i2000plus, or any othe r
GSM phone, download iDEN Phonebook Manage r.
