Talking

Before You Can Talk

Have you ever tried to talk to someone who’s on a “different wavelength?” It’s not easy, is it? Well, you can’t talk with someone else on your two-way radio unless you ARE BOTH on the same channel and using the same interference eliminator code.

The channel is the radio frequency wave your radio uses to transmit. The interference eliminator code filters out static, noise, and unwanted messages. Refer to the Frequency and Code Charts beginning on page 35 for channel and code choices.
