Safe Operation

The Personal Communicator is is NOT intended to be used as a handset device to be held to the ear.

When placing or receiving calls with the Personal Communicator device, use it with a headset accessory or in speakerphone mode (with the device positioned away from you, such as on a desktop).

Using the Built-in Speakerphone

Your Personal Communicator device includes a built-in speakerphone. When the device is closed or in its holster, you can answer a call by pressing and holding I(smart button), located on the front of the unit.

Sending a Call

To call a number, your Personal Communicator:

must be opened, turned on, and unlocked

must have a network connection with adequate signal strength
