Accessible IP
Moxa EtherDevice Switches use an IP
Accessible IP Settings allows you to add or remove Legal remote host IP addresses to prevent unauthorized access. Access to EtherDevice Switch is controlled by IP addresses. That is, if a host’s IP address is in the accessible IP table, then the host will be allowed access to the EtherDevice Switch. You can allow one of the following cases by setting this parameter
yOnly one host with the specified IP address can access theE.g., enter “192.168.1.1/255.255.255.255” to allow access to just the IP address 192.168.1.1.
yAny host on a specific sub network can access theE.g., enter “192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0” to allow access to all IPs on the sub network defined by this IP address/netmask combination.
yAny host can access theDisable this function by not selecting the Enable the accessible IP list checkbox. The following table shows additional configuration examples:
