acquisition window The image size specificto a video standard or camera resolution.
activepixel region Theregion of pixels actively being stored. Defined by a pixel start [relative
to the horizontal synchronization signal(HSYNC)] and a pixel count.
address Valuethat identifies a specific location (or series of locations) in memory.
API Applicationprogramming interface.
AQ_DONE Signals that the acquisition of a frame or field is completed.
AQ_IN_PROGRESS Signals that the acquisition of video data is in progress.
area Arectangular portion of an acquisition window or frame that is controlled
and definedby software.
array Ordered,indexed set of data elements of the same type.
aspect ratio The ratio of a picture or image’s width to its height.

b Bit. One binary digit, either 0 or 1.
B Byte.Eight related bits of data, an eight-bit binary number. Also denotes
the amount of memory required to store one byte ofd ata.
buffer Temporarystorage for acquired data.

cache High-speed processor memory that bufferscommonly used instructions or
data to increase processing throughput.
chroma The color information in a video signal.
