Troubleshooting
This chapter describes basic troubleshooting procedures you can perform
on thePXI-1006 chassis.

Troubleshooting the PXI-1006

Refer to Table 3-1 to troubleshoot the PXI-1006 chassis. The table lists
possible causes for power failure and recommends ways to correct the
problem.

Resetting the AC Mains Circuit Breaker

Ify our PXI-1006 is connected to an AC source and encounters an
over-currentcondition, the circuit breaker located on the rear panel will trip
toprevent damage to the chassis. Complete the following steps to reset the
circuitbreaker:
1. Turnthe power switch to the Standby position.
2. Disconnect the ACline cord.

powersource.
Makesure that the PXI-1006 is connected to a live
electrical outlet. Tryoperating another piece of
equipment from this outlet.
Powerswitch is not switched on. Set the powerswitch to the On po sition.
Remote inhibiting input on the rear
panelof thechassis is active.
Deactivateyour systems remote inhibiting control.
Circuitbreaker is tripped. Resetthe circuit breaker. Refer to the Resetting the AC
Mains CircuitBreaker section in this chapter.
Powersupply has failed. Contact National Instruments.
