Because AP can control it, when the user stations in the net are increased, the handle capability of the net can be controlled in a range. And the bound of user station's layout is smaller, building net is more active, it fit for commixing net configuration of wired net and wireless net. If you want to connect to the Internet, you can choose Infrastructure Mode.
