De vibratiereductie ON/OFF -schakelaar (fig. B)

ON: Vibratie wordt verminderd terwijl de ontspanknop half wordt ingedrukt en ook op het moment dat de ontspanknop wordt losgelaten. Omdat vibratie wordt verminderd in de beeldzoeker wordt automatisch en handmatig scherpstellen en nauwkeurige kadrering van het onderwerp gemakkelijker.

OFF: Vibratie wordt niet verminderd.

NORMAL: Het vibratiereductiemechanisme vermindert vooral cameratrillingen, waardoor vloeiende panorama-opnamen mogelijk worden.

ACTIVE: Het vibratiereductiemechanisme vermindert vooral zichtbare cameratrillingen, wanneer u bijvoorbeeld foto's neemt vanuit een bewegend voertuig. In deze modus maakt de lens niet automatisch het onderscheid tussen pannen en cameratrillingen.
