1.Wanneer het hoofdonderwerp in de scherpstelhaakjes betrekkelijk klein is

Wanneer een persoon die voor een achtergrond in de verte staat, binnen de scherpstelhaakjes wordt geplaatst, zoals getoond in fig. E, is het mogelijk dat wordt scherpgesteld op de achtergrond en niet op het onderwerp.

2.Wanneer het hoofdonderwerp een fijn onderwerp of fijne scène is, met een patroon

Wanneer het onderwerp fijn is en voorzien is van een patroon of een laag contrast heeft, zoals een bloemenveld, zoals getoond in fig. F, kan het moeilijk zijn om scherp te stellen zonder autofocus te gebruiken.

Oplossingen voor deze soorten situaties

(1) Stel scherp op een ander onderwerp op dezelfde

afstand van het fototoestel, gebruik vervolgens de
