•For scanning transparency films for OHPs (overhead transparencies), place a sheet of white paper on top.
•If the document is curled or creased, make sure that it is straightened and flattened before setting it in position.
•If the paper has staples or clips attached, make sure they do not scratch the surface of the glass.
