•Encender y apagar la cámara repetidamente si la batería está completamente descargada acortará la vida de la misma. Deberán cargarse las baterías que hayan sido completamente descargadas antes del uso.

•La temperatura interna de la batería podría elevarse mientras esté en uso. Si intenta cargar la batería cuando la temperatura interna es elevada afectará el desempeño de la misma, y por lo tanto podría no cargar o cargar parcialmente. Espere a que la batería se enfríe antes de cargarla.

•Si sigue cargando la batería cuando esté totalmente cargada, se puede reducir su rendimiento.

•Una disminución marcada en cuanto al tiempo de retención de carga de una batería totalmente cargada al usarse a temperatura ambiente indica que debe cambiarla. Adquiera una nueva batería EN-EL14.

•Cargue la batería antes de utilizarla. Cuando vaya a tomar fotografías en ocasiones importantes, tenga preparada una batería EN-EL14 de repuesto completamente cargada. En algunos lugares puede ser complicado adquirir baterías de repuesto al momento. Tenga en cuenta que en los días fríos, la capacidad de las baterías tiende a disminuir. Compruebe que la batería está completamente cargada antes de hacer fotografías de exteriores en lugares fríos. Guarde una batería de repuesto en un lugar templado y cámbiela si fuera necesario. Una vez calentada, la batería fría puede recuperar parte de su carga.

•Las baterías usadas son un recurso muy valioso; recíclelas según las normativas locales.
