El balance de blancos puede “ajustarse con precisión” para compensar las variaciones en el color de la fuente de iluminación o para introducir un molde de color deliberado en una imagen. El balance de blancos se ajusta con precisión utilizando la opción Balance de blancos del menú de disparo.

Los colores de los ejes de ajuste de precisión son relativos, no absolutos. Por ejemplo, si mueve el cursor hacia B (azul) cuando se ha seleccionado un ajuste “cálido” como J (incandescente), las fotografías se tornarán ligeramente más “frías”, pero no se vuelven azules.
