Digitally Dubbing Signals in DVCAM/DV Format

In addition to straightforward tape dubbing, you can also use this unit to dub signals in DVCAM/DV format automatically from the beginning of the tape to the end through the SDTI (QSDI) or i.LINK interface.

To use the SDTI (QSDI) interface, the optional DSBK- 1501 board is required.

When you dub data recorded by a DVCAM camcorder that supports the ClipLink function, you can also include the data stored in the cassette memory.

Notes

• It is not possible to dub signals recorded in DV (LP)

format.

Digital dubbing is carried out in the digital format used

on the source tape regardless of the recording format

selected on this unit. If the source tape begins with a

section in which no signals are recorded, the

corresponding no-signal section created at the beginning

of the tape recorded on this unit may have a different

length depending on the digital format of the source tape,

the recording format selected on this unit, etc. During

dubbing, if the digital format of the source tape changes,

• Regardless of the audio recording mode setting of this

unit, dubbing is performed with the original audio

recording mode unchanged (two-channel/48 kHz mode

or four-channel/32 kHz mode).

• Approximately the last 2 minutes of the tape may not be

copied because of differences in tape lengths. (If an

index picture is recorded in this portion, it may also not

be copied.)
