Shooting Suited to Scenes (Scene Mode)

Photograph flowers, insects and other small objects at close range.

Macro mode (A38) is enabled and the camera automatically zooms to the closest position at which it can focus.

The closest possible shooting distance may vary according

to the zoom position. The camera can focus at a closer distance when Fand the zoom indicator glow green and the zoom indicator is positioned to the left of G(wide- angle position). The camera can focus on subjects as close as 10 cm (4 in.) to the lens when zoomed out to the maximum

wide-angle position or when zoomed in one step from the maximum wide-angle zoom position. At the Gzoom position, the camera can focus at a distance of 30 cm (1 ft.).

Note that the flash may be unable to light entire subject at distances of less than 50 cm (1 ft. 8 in.).

Camera focuses on the subject at the center of the frame. The area focused can be changed by the touch shutter (A45) or touch AF/AE (A50).

The camera focuses continuously until focus is locked by pressing the shutter-release button halfway.

As pictures are easily affected by camera shake, hold the camera steadily.

Use the scene effect adjustment slider (A60) to adjust picture saturation.
