All figures are approximate. The maximum movie length may vary by make of memory card or movie bit rate.

1When the internal memory is used, NHD 720p (1280×720) cannot be selected.

2The maximum movie length for a single movie is 29 minutes. The maximum movie length displayed during recording is 29 minutes, even when there is enough free space on the memory card for a longer movie.

nMovie AF Mode

In the shooting screen MTap the bottom tab (A14) MnMovie AF mode

Choose how the camera focuses with recording movies.

Option

Description

ASingle AF

Focus is locked when the b(emovie-record) button is pressed

to start recording.

(default setting)

Select this option when the distance between the camera and

 

the subject will remain fairly consistent.

 

Camera focuses continuously during movie recording.

BFull-time AF

Select this option when the distance between the camera and

the subject will change.

 

To prevent the sound of the camera focusing from interfering

 

with recording, use of Single AF is recommended.
