•When the ready-lights are off (or the SD-9 is not connected to the Speedlight), the SD-9 uses very little battery power, reducing the need to change batteries frequently. Batteries should be removed when the unit is put away in storage or not used for long periods.

" CAUTION Using the SB-910 with the SD-9

Continuous flash photography with the SB-910 at 8 fps using the SD-9 with eight batteries can cause the front part of the SB-910 flash head to heat up.
