AMPLIFIER REQUIREMENTS & WIRING

The SW10JM is a passive (non-powered) subwoofer and must be used with a power ampliﬁer. We strongly recommend the Niles SWA-500 subwoofer ampliﬁer. Use with any other ampliﬁers could result in less than optimal performance.

We recommend 16 AWG 2-conductor speaker wire for runs up to 60 feet, with heavier high quality speaker wire used for longer runs. When permanently installing wire inside walls, be sure to use cable that is rated for in-wall use and has special jacketing for ﬁre prevention. The wires should be run in accordance with National Electrical Code and any applicable local building codes.
