Important: Your phone is powered by a rechargeable battery.

Use only batteries approved by Nokia and recharge your battery
only with the chargers approved by Nokia. Never use any charger
or battery which is damaged.	4

The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times but it will eventually wear out. When the operating time (talk-time and standby time) is noticeably shorter than normal, it is time to buy a new battery.

The BLB-3 battery doesn't need a full discharge before recharging.

•SWITCH ON THE PHONE

• Press and hold the power key on top of the phone for 2 seconds.

When you power-up your phone for the first

time, or when you remove and replace the battery, you’ll be prompted to set the time and date.

Note: If “PIN code request” is set to “On,” you’ll need to enter the 4-digit PIN code and press OK. See “PIN code request” on page 71 for more information.
