Bluetooth wireless technology

Bluetooth wireless technology enables wireless connections
between compatible electron ic devices at a maximum range of
10 metres. Use the car phone as a modem for fax and data
communication or to connect wirelessly to compatible
enhancements with Bluetooth technology.
Note
In some countries, there may be restrictions on using
devices with Bluetooth wireless technology. Check with
your dealer and the local authorit ies.

Sending and receiving a business card

You can send or receive a person’s co ntact information as a
business card either using Bluetooth wireless technology or in
the form of a text message .

Receiving a business card

Make sure that your car phone is read y to receive data by
means of Bluetooth wireless technology.
The user of the other compatible phone can now send their
business card and phone number using the desired medium.
When you have received a business card using Bluetooth
technology or as a text message, press the Navi wheel and
select Save to store the business card in the ca r phone memory.
If you do not want to save the business card, select Discard.

Sending a business card

You can forward a receive d business card to a compa tible
mobile phone using Bluetooth wireless technology if the phone
supports it or to any handheld device that supports the vCard
standard using the short me ssage service.
Select Forward for the received business card, o r if you should
also wish to save the business card for your personal use, select
Save and forward.
To send a business card using Bluetooth wireless technology,
select via Bluetooth. To send a business card as a text messa ge,
select Via text message.

GPRS (General Packet Radio Service)

GPRS is a technology that allows mobile phones to be used for
sending and receiving data over the mobile network (network
service). GPRS as such is a data bearer that enables wireless
access to data networks suc h as the Internet. The appli cations
that may use GPRS are WAP, SMS messaging, and the GPRS
dial-up.
Before you can use GPRS technology, you must subscribe to the
GPRS service. For details on the availability of and subscription
to the GPRS service, contact your network operator or service
provider.
